To deal with toxic productivity, you can take the following steps:
1. Create clear boundaries
When work is the only thing running through your mind, it’s hard to think of anything else that’s just as important. Well, you can set boundaries that change your mindset from only thinking about work to other meaningful things in life, such as:
- Cannot work for three hours without intermittent breaks
- Must have quality time with family this week
- Must sleep enough for 8 hours every day
2. Apply professional detachment
This method is especially for those of you who meet five times a day, or more. Remember, there is something more important than work, namely your own physical and mental health. Understand that being a worker is not your only identity.
You are not only a worker, but also parents, girlfriends, friends, and so on. When you implement “professional detachment”, you treat work as something that you will handle after taking on other responsibilities outside of it.
3. Practice mindfulness
